Also, there are a bit of gore in this. So be warned!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Each blow burned like acid.
Smack!
Each slice hurt like a poisonous bite.
Slice!
But somehow, it was your heart that was aching even more. Your inner mind felt as if it was ripping apart from the inside out; and it left your whole body shaking from the pain.
“HOW DARE YOU!” His voice screamed, another blow landing across your delicate face. Sharp metal pierced your abdomen, and you couldn’t hold it back anymore. A cry escaped your chapped and bloody mouth- turning into a high-pitched, blood-curling scream.
Before you could even finish your expression of agony, another sharp pain dug itself onto you leg, letting red liquid to jump everywhere. You could feel the warmth of your blood against your skin; it was burning hot. But then again, the metal piercing your skin was so cold; and you really didn’t know which was stronger. Warmth or cold.
They just mixed into a blur as another sharp cry left your mouth. Everything was so painful.
What had gotten you into this mess again?
Someone grabbed a clump of your hair and violently jerked you, pulling you towards whoever the captor was. When your (E/C) eyes landed on pitch black eyes and a glimpse of purple, you finally remembered.
Ghirahim. It was him.
…Yes. Him.
A series of memories flashed through your head. You let yourself drift off to them for a moment, forgetting all that was around you for now.
~~~~~~~~~~~

It would be an understatement if you said that you were afraid.

No, you weren’t afraid.

You were terrified.

Your gaze focused in front of you, where you met blood red orbs. They were burning with so much hatred- and it was enough to scar your mind.

You gulped before bringing your shaking hands down, piercing your sword through his only weak spot- his heart. A loud scream was heard as the evil creature’s wound spurted blood. You closed your eyes, biting your lips to the point of making it bleed.

“(Y/N)! Move aside!” Goddess Hylia spoke, her hands rising upwards as she collected a string of light with her hands and brought them down, binding the demon king’s soul into a curse. His body started to slowly disintegrate into black dust, and it must’ve been painful because the screams continued.

“YOU! YOU WILL BE CURSED! YOU LITTLE TRAITOR! YOU WILL DIE THE MOST PAINFUL DEATH, AND YOUR SOUL WILL SUFFER FOREVER!” Demise yelled, clawing at the ground around him as he tried oh-so-desperately to grab onto you. However, he failed, his hands reducing into nothing but a pile of ash.

Your teeth remained against your bottom lip, and you could now taste the metallic tang of blood against your tongue. But that was the least of your worries.

You had killed your master.

You had killed your lord, and you did it willingly.

…Why?

Oh, that’s right. You remembered.

You and Ghirahim was working under Demise. You were supposed to be his trusted minion.

Demise said that once he gained power, he would wipe out the world and “Start” a new beginning.

At first, you trusted him.

But now? You were smart enough to know.

It was a big, fat lie.

There was a rumor that once Demise had his power, he would destroy the world as itself. He had called it “cleaning”. And he had told you that you would, indeed, survive through the process.

You knew. The process wouldn’t let you survive. Only powerful beings like Demise would. And he would surely kill you and Ghirahim without a second doubt. And the world as you knew it? Everything will be gone.

Yes. Everything.

Even the castle you lived in would be destroyed. The sun, the moon, the ground- all of it would be gone. Only ashes and fire and larva would remain, engulfing the world in a inferno.

And even if, if, you two were lucky enough to survive through the destruction, then what?

You would die an even more painful death. Eaten slowly by the demons created by Demise. He would feed you and use you as a stepping stone to gain power.

So you killed him. You killed him with Goddess Hylia and the Hero. It was a big war, especially for you since you had been on either side as a spy.

…This was the right decision. You were sure.

But you couldn’t deny the fact that you had hurt Ghirahim. You had betrayed him. And sooner or later, he would come, and he would slowly kill you.

But it was worth it. You didn’t want him to die. Even if it meant that you were sacrificing yourself, you didn’t want him to die.

If you did this now, he would be hurt, but he would recover. He would sooner or later get over it and find another way. But if he was killed by Demise… He wouldn’t have the strength to come back to life, even  if it was possible- which wasn’t. And it was a guaranteed painful death for him, both physically and mentally.

So you were okay with yourself dying. If it was for him, it was fine. If he was happy, your death wouldn’t matter.

Because you loved him.

Patterns of diamonds appeared in front of you. Yes, it was time… He was coming. To kill you, no doubt.

When you opened your eyes- you didn’t even know that you had closed them- you were met with angry, onyx ones. They were filled with so much betrayal, hurt, and anger. It almost broke you; but you kept yourself steady.

Yes. You loved him. And he survived. So that’s all that mattered, wasn’t it?

~~~~~
“DON’T YOU DARE! LISTEN TO ME WHEN I TALK TO YOU, TRAITOR!” His voice jerked you out of your thoughts. Another dagger was plunged deep into your arm, and you let out a small cry of protest. But it wasn’t loud anymore; you were getting weak.
He snarled at your bloodied state, summoning yet another dagger to swipe it across your chest. Just as you thought you were going to lose consciousness, he snapped his fingers to heal you just enough to survive, but not to cease the pain.
“HA! DON’T YOU EXPECT TO DIE A PEACEFUL DEATH.” He snarled, moving his face extremely close to yours.
“You. Will. Suffer. Every. Breath. I will break you until you are drowned by your blood. You will scream until you make yourself deaf, and you will cry until that pretty eyes of yours pop. Only then would you know the tiniest sliver of the rage I am feeling towards you right now. Traitor.” He hissed dangerously, baring his fangs. He then bit down onto your neck, HARD, drawing blood. The warm liquid slowly trickled down your side.
You kept quiet. If you told him, he would be beyond hurt, knowing that his most precious master was planning on killing him.
It was better if you suffered.
Yet another sharp pain landed itself against your chest, and the suffocating pain burned you. What had he done this time? Pierce you with a dagger? Burn you with fire? Scorch your skin with his demonic magic?
But the pain mixed together to a same. You couldn’t feel anything anymore.
It was maybe hours, it was maybe minutes. The demon continued to torture you, healing you just enough to keep consciousness. His blood lust seemed to skyrocket as he attacked, taking out all his rage on you.
Finally, he landed his final blow before stepping back. He must’ve had enough because he didn’t stop to heal you this time. Instead, he brought his face close to yours, gazing menacingly into your eyes.
“I hate you, (Y/N). You will be cursed by my power. You will suffer, forever and ever. I… blame myself for trusting you…” Tears ran down his face, mixing with your blood. The clear drops sliced down his face before dropping to his chest, one managing to land onto the golden diamond on his chest.
Your heart jerked painfully at the sight, but you reminded yourself that this was only temporary. He would get over it soon. Yes.
He started to walk away, his form shaking. You wanted to cry and smile at the same time.
Did you really do the right thing?
…Yes. It had to be.
(Ghirahim’s P.O.V)
I was torn. How could she? I thought her as my love. She was my friend. She was my everything.
And yet, she betrayed me.
I teleported myself back to my master’s… “grave”. I knelt down in front of him, the cold forest air hitting against burning against my skin like daggers of ice. A stone- a mere freaking stone was all that bane him underground… And I felt so idiotic for not being able to just pull him out again.
I touched the stone- trying to remove the powerful spell that was cast upon it- but it was no use.
I focused on it again. Maybe it would work, if I tried enough. Surely it would work.
Surely it would-
Clank! And just like that, something hot pierced my ear, and I screamed in agony. Did the magic backfire?
It hurt. It burned so much.
“It’s no use, demon.” A smooth voice said behind me, and when I snarled. It was her. The so called Goddess.
I turned towards her, stretching my hands out. I was going to kill her. Murder her just like I did with (Y/N).
But my magic didn’t seem to work. I struggled, my hands shaking in frustration- but nothing was working. Not a single sliver of the magic was released.
“F*CK!” I screamed! I was so OUTRAGED! How? THIS WAS OUTRAGIOUS! How was the goddess beating me? HOW?
“I told you. You are far too weak.” Hylia appeared calm and collected- which added to my frustration like pouring oil on fire.
“YOU! I WILL KILL YOU-“
“If you will shut your mouth, I have something important to tell you. And I believe I’m running out of time.”
“NO WAY IN HELL-“
A gust of magic stopped me. When I looked around, everything seemed fuzzy- but I could make out glimpses of red and green and black.
That was when things cleared, and I could see everything. This magic was playing a scene- a battle scene, to be exact.
It was a battle scene that happened merely hours ago. The one when (Y/N) had killed… My master. Ripples of blood was falling everywhere- and it was as if he was actually being at the battle field, looking through someone’s eyes… Everything seemed so vivid, so clear…
That was when a sudden feeling of sadness and horror pierced my heart. I closed my eyes, feeling my legs growing horribly weak.
What was happening?
Even though I didn’t want to, I creaked opened my eyes- and when I did so, I let out a gasp. I was gazing straight into my Master’s eyes, a sword held tightly in my hands. His eyes glowered of hatred as I buried the sword into his heart, and I was beyond confused. But the feeling of pain and sadness in my heart didn’t go away.
That was when I realized.
I was reliving someone’s memory.
And that someone… It was her.
…It was (Y/N).
(Y/N)?
And there, at that moment…
Everything was answered. Words flashed through my head- telling me harsh, burning truths and answers that was too much to bear.
I heard her voice. She was speaking- no, she was crying.
All the truth came at me- and I felt my face fall.
So… She.. It was all for me?
For me?
…A demon, who she knew that would kill her afterwards?
…Oh, no, no, no, this had to be a mistake. It just had to.
“You finally understand.” Hylia’s cool voice woke me from my thoughts- but my brain was still fuzzy, my heart still aching. She looked at me- her blue eyes cold.
“…” So many hatred towards Hylia, towards Demise, towards the world..
But mostly, towards myself.
“Go. You don’t have much time.” She said, and I instantly followed her orders. I was too busy to notice even the fact that I was, in fact, doing what she was telling me to do.
Without another hesitation, I snapped my fingers and teleported myself back to (Y/N).
She had to be alive.
She had to be.
As soon as my vision cleared from the hazy state of teleportation, I sprinted full speed towards her crumpled form.
She had to be breathing.
She..she had to.
“(Y/N)!” I called out, my voice somewhat hoarse- but I couldn’t care less. I expected her to stand up and greet me with a smile, saying that she  was all well…
But she remained still.
“(Y/N)!” I dropped down next to her, holding her upper body with my arms. She slowly opened her eyes.
But the (E/C) eyes weren’t sparkling of life, of joy. It wasn’t lively like it used to be.
It was so dull.
“I’ll heal you, (Y/N)! I can!! Just, please…” I snapped my fingers multiple times, closing the very wounds that I had left…
But her heartbeat remained slow.
Tears dribbled down my cheeks- I couldn’t help it anymore.
I had done this all…
To her.
What a monster I am.
(Your P.O.V)
His voice… It was so soothing, yet full of pain.
Why?
Why was he hurt, now?
“Ghira…Ghirahim.” You squeezed his name out through your barely functioning throat, successfully catching his attention.
“(Y-Y/N)… You’re…”
“…D-don’t cry. E-everything will b-be fine…” You bit back a grunt of pain.
“I’m so sorry, (Y/N)… I thought… I didn’t know… Why would you sacrifice yourself for me? For someone as horrible as me? ”
“D..Don’t say that… You know how much I…n-need you to survive… Even if it meant my…end..”
“But… I… I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry.” Something warm and watery dropped to your face.
You recognized it as his tears.
“D..don’t be. I’m sorry for hurting you…Ghirahim…” You let out a shaky breath. “….Here. I have something to give you.”
You then stretched your palm out, creating a blue, diamond earing.
“N-no! You give this to me when… When you’re alive and well again… I’ll heal you! Really! Y-you’ll be fine!” His face scrunched into one of agony. Your heart ached at that sight.
“Please, take it. And forget about me… M-my time is up…”
“No! No,no,no,… You’re not leaving me!” He screamed, his voice cracking multiple times.
“…Everything…Will…be fine. I’m sorry….”
“No….No… Don’t-“
“I love you, my demon…” You then closed your eyes, feeling them become heavy like bricks.
You heard a muffled cry…Then you felt his lips against yours.
It felt so warm and sweet.
With a faint smile lining your face, you let your body relax completely.
Coldness numbed your fingertips, slowly spreading up to your arms, legs, and body…
And you felt your heartbeat slow.
…Was it selfish of you to wish that…
Ghirahim would remember you? Forever?
…Yes, it would be selfish.
But you wanted to be selfish… For once.
That was the last thing that you thought
 Before everything turned black.
Look at me go! Two stories a day <3(But seriously, I just had this writing boost yesterday. XD)
So, for those who might be confused, here's the story.
This takes time a long time before the game Skyward Sword does. Basically, it's the first time that the Goddess trapped Demise's soul.
You are a minion of Demise, just like Ghirahim. However, unlike Ghirahim, you knew the fact that Demise were just using you, and that he would destroy everything afterwards. So you decided to betray him and fight.
Knowing this, Ghirahim is outraged. However, you kill Demise and don't tell Ghirahim why, afraid that he might get hurt. You did this all for him, but he didn't know that- so Ghirahim tortures you/kills you. Goddess Hylia tells him the truth later on- and Ghirahim finally realizes it- but he's too late. (Also, the gift you give him at the last scene, I imagine it as the earring that Ghirahim always wears ;))
Finally, an Angst bomb where I properly butcher your feelings. (Sorry. I had this stuck in my head for a while and I couldn't just leave it hanging.)
Thanks for reading as usual! <3
